Reasonably quiet and compact. Comes with standard hose. Bought with nailer got first time - no more gluing laminate beeding. Great to inflate car and bike tyres. Would have loved a higher air flow though for spray painting

Air is loaded quickly and the size of the tank gives a reasonable time between recharging. The twin air outlets are a godsend when using two different application guns.

Like the twin outlets for using two nail guns at once.
The pressure adjuster is easy to use for different operations.
This is a quiet machine compared to some of the others around. It cycles the air very quickly easily coping with two nailers.
Light enough to carry, we use in the workshop and take to site.
At this point can't find fault.

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the 10litre low noise compressor

  1. Glenn asked on
I have a 90mm framing nailer and some finishing nailers...just wondering how this 10 litre compressor performs with a framing nailer and putting home masonry nails for skirting etc.. the framing nailer is very seldom used but just wondering if it gets a 90mm nail home when in use..
    1. Steve replied on
Hi there, Struggling to answer that as I don't use anything bigger than a 50mm Brad gun with the compressor for timber frame work.
  2. Brendan asked on
I am thinking of this compressor for upholstery. Any suggestions for a lightweight staple gun? What else do I need?
    1. Steve replied on
I use my compressor with an upholstery stapler and It is ideal. I have a Bostitch one and a Dewalt model as well. You will need an airline and quick release connectors. It's so easy to use, especially if you have been hand stapling.
  3. James asked on
Will I be able to use a paint sprayer with this compressor
    1. Christopher replied on
      Yes
  4. Paul asked on
Does the compressor turn off when it reaches its working pressure.
    1. Christopher replied on
      Yes
  5. Ian asked on
    DOES THE COMPRESSOR HAVE PISTONS?
    1. Christopher replied on
      yes
  6. Paul asked on
How does the noise level compare to other kit? For example chop saws, table saws and routers, which can be noisy for my serious DIY work.
I'd like a nail gun, but only if the compressor noise level won't annoy neighbours.

    cheers
    Paul
    1. Steve replied on
      Hi Paul,

The noise level is less than the other pieces of kit you mention.Compressor only cycles with the use of air and if your connections are airtight it will run less.
The compressor is quiet compared to the others we own, if using in domestic situation stand it on something like a piece of carpet to dampen noise.

      Cheers,

      Steve.

I am looking to buy a DPC10QTC. I need a Tyre inflator, and Air Gun. Can anyone recommend suitable accessorie?
    1. Steve replied on
      Hi John,
I have one of the compressors which is used for nail and staple guns. I have used it with a cheap inflator from machine mart which is not much good. I think Pcl make good quality products but at a cost.
    2. Christopher replied on
Halfords will supply the tyre inflator and any Brown Bothers would supply the air gun
  8. dave asked on
Hi im looking to buy a compressor t use on site so it will need to run off a generator. Are you able to tell me if my 5.5hp generator will run this compressor? Many thanks , dave
    1. Steve replied on
      Hi Dave,
Not used the compressor from a generator, if you're only running the compressor from a 5.5hp generator it should be okay unless you're going to connect other equipment.
Are you using the compressor for nail guns? Steve.
    2. Christopher replied on
Tricky to answer because compressors draw so much current to start, running is no problem. I would be inclined to ask a tool shop if you could try a compressor on your generator before you buy. I think it should work.
