Excellent light, use it whilst at work - very easy to get a good amount of light where you want it and give me both hands free to work with out the hassle of a head torch or traditional torch. Easily positioned to do its job without blinding me which makes a change from the tube style inspection lights. Also great when walking the dog, left it outside in the rain all night by mistake and it still worked perfectly, hard to justify buying anything more expensive when this is so good. Take it everywhere with me especially now the winter months are here...2 ah battery's last forever on it. Definatley recommend it.
Trying hard to find fault but can't. Battery has slight movement when fitted but not enough to cause concern, never been an issue and is definitely secure.

Unbelievably briright. Very convenient and extremely light. Love the fact that it uses the same batteries as my tools.
Could do with a' pull back' section to reveal more leds to allow for all round illumination.

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the 18V XR Li-Ion LED Pivot Light

  1. Nige asked on
Can you confirm that the torch will operate fine using a 18v 1.3ah DCB185 battery pack. I'm looking to buy one and already have the battery's but was a little concened that the 1.3ah might reduce the performance considerably.
    1. ivath0 replied on
Mine uses 18v 1.5ah and it is an excellent torch. I would expect the 18v 1.3ah pack to work (same voltage) but just need to be charged more frequently.
      Hope that helps!
    2. Jeremy replied on
It will work fine but will require charging more often than any of the larger batteries, I run mine with the 3 & 4Ah and they run for a very long time, I don 't leave it on when I don't need it and it will last all day with a single battery.
  2. A asked on
How long would a fully charged 1.5 ah battery last on average
    1. Mitchell replied on
Couldn't say to be honest I only use the 4.0 ah battery's! It also depends on what tool you are using the battery with! E.g 4 inch grinder uses the power a lot quicker than say the torch would!
    2. Andrew replied on
I agree with Mitchell its impossible to say I also use only 4.0ah but find them amazing I work with them all day everyday and rarely do I have to charge them prior to finishing the day. Grinder and Saw both use power a lot faster.
    3. Jeremy replied on
Sorry as the others mention it depends on the battery (I use a 4.0aph battery) and how much you use it. I have used mine all day with no issues but I do swop batteries as I work. The main thing to remember is to charge the batteries after use so they are ready for the next job.
  3. Jason asked on
My torch seems to flash after its been in use for 10mins or so, how do I solve this problem or is it a faulty light?
    1. Elliot replied on
Sounds faulty, mine is rock solid for hours. Maybe try another lion pack first?
    2. Paul replied on
Mine lasts for hours you need to return it for repair if over 14 days old replacement if under
    3. Rob replied on
      Mine lasts for hours too.
Looks like you'll need to get an exchange.

    4. John replied on
Mine is fine and will stay on for hours. try another battery. if still the same its faulty
