It works.
Battery lasts a long time.
Occasionally my loose jacket got sucked across the intake. Probably my fault.

I'm no longer physically able to use petrol powered machines - starting/lifting/swinging side to side etc - is beyond me. But this machine does everything the petrol equivalent can do, but is so much lighter and easier to handle.
The only draw back is battery life. On my land - surrounded, and covered in trees - the battery, typically, lasts about 40 to 45 minutes, but this is constant use.

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the 18V DEWALT Brushless Blower 5.0Ah BARETOOL

  1. John asked on
Has anyone compared this 18V DCM562 against the newer 54V FlexVolt DCM572 on power, battery life, etc? I can't find a comparison anywhere.
    1. MARTYN replied on
I own dcm562 I have used it extensively. I started with a 18 volt 4 ah battery which would last up to 40 minutes. I also bought a 54 /18 flexvolt battery which on an 18 volt tool gives 6 ah , now blower is hard to run down. The 18 volt blower is hard to fault and with the 54volt battery is a powerful tool. I now own 54volt tools as well. I use 54 v in all my 18 volt tools unless space is at a premium.
  2. Jules asked on
How long does it last on one charge
    1. MARTYN replied on
I started using 18 volt 4ah which lasted up to 45 mins, I now use 54/18 flexvolt 6ah battery, which has never run out on me yet. Saying that 2 18 volt batteries and a rapid charger and you could keep going all day.
    2. David replied on
Not checked time but lasts long enogh for me to do all my jobs around the garden and driveway. very good item.
