Questions people have asked owners of the Compact Mitre Saw Workstation

  1. Phil asked on
Will the DWS778-GB fit on this ?
    1. Gary replied on
Yes. All of the Dewalt Mitre saws will fit on the stands as long as you have the correct brackets. There are only a few variations which is useful for when you upgrade. They simply bolt to the underside of your saw and then you clip the whole lot on to the stand.
  2. Willy asked on
Hi, I have the larger version of this stand and it's great and really robust and sturdy. I was wondering what is the max length of timber you could put on this stand and say make a cut close to the end of the board. Looking to downsize and try save a little room in the van? Any help would be great thanks

The distance between the blade on my DW745 mitre saw, when hard over to one end of the stand and one support extended fully, is 1565mm so I reckon you could easily deal with lengths of up to 3m.

Hi I have a dws777, it states it fit all saw does it fit this one

Assuming that we are talking about the DeWalt Compact Mitre Saw Workstation, this will take the DWS777 with its quick release clamps. 18 months on, this workstation is in regular use and has been moved around the country. Still very pleased with it
  4. William asked on
I have been left with some bolts and washers, the stand is set up well, with 4 bolts for my saw.

Probably just spares - maybe for attaching accessories. I love this mitre stand.
    2. Kevin replied on
Hi the stand fits a range of saws and you are provided with different fixings for different saws. Just use the correct fixings for your saw and save the others for if you ever need to use the stand with a different saw.
