Handles 4m lengths of 6" by 2" oak with ease . Really stable.
Adjustable supports are generally very good and work well with the extension bars.
The extension bars are excellent. Very sturdy and simple to lock in place.
Brackets to attach the DeWalt saw lock positively and are also sturdy.
It's surprisingly light to carry around!
Not convinced the length stops will be accurate enough for fine woodworking.
Some slop in the adjustable supports can make it tricky to set the height exactly.
Not sure if it will provide stable enough support for full-width cutting.

Excellent addition to the mitre saw. Having used this stand would not want to use the saw without it
The bolts on the timber rest could be stronger as they sometimes slip down when using larger, heavier timbers

Here's a list of the questions other shoppers have asked owners of the Mitre Saw Workstation

  1. dan asked on
Does the Mitre Saw Workstation work with a DWS773?
    1. Gary replied on
It should do because you get adaptable fittings
  2. Kevin asked on
Has anyone bought one of these recently in the UK and got one with levers for adjusting the extension arms? The new short beam version (DW7033) uses levers for this as well as to assist with deploying the legs, but all the pictures I see of the longer version (DW7023) seem to be the old type with knobs. I see on this site that Type 1 and Type 2 are now discontinued so are all Type 3's the same as the new short beam version with levers? I phoned dewalt and they said that the levers are just on the American models but Paul's answer to the question above seems to contradict this, unless Toolstop have US stock I suppose.

I have a unit with levers that lock the extension arms in or out. Bought it two years ago in the UK.
It also has the levers on the legs to lock closed or standing.

My only pet hate with it is the black castings on the ends of the extension arms. When the arms are closed - these form the end of the trestle. When storing the bench standing upright or leaning - the black ends scratch to hell - they could / should have been rubber coated - and thus would have maintained their appearance.

Apart from that - LOVE it!

dose the dewalt 707 fit the stand
    1. Stephen replied on
I'm not 100% sure I only have the 718 I think all dewalt saws are universal though so I'm sure it will.
    2. david replied on
the stand is a universal stand mate and will fit most chop saws

  4. paul asked on
Does anybody know weather I could use this with a makita saw?
    1. Paul replied on
There are instructions included that advise you to secure any other brand saws to a sheet of ply, then attach the included brackets to the sheet of ply to enable the saw to be secured to the stand. I would expect that if your saw has parallel holes in the frame then you could skip the plywood and attach directly. Just guessing though, never tried. Dewalt Saw purchased along with the stand! I would recommend the stand though, very sturdy and quick piece of kit.

I am currently looking to purchase the DE7023, as I have used it before at work. The only problem i have is that all the pictures I am seeing of this model looks slightly different to the one I have used. ie the pics show a black handle on the 2 ends compared to the one at work which has 2 black levers. The one at work is labelled DE7023 x-j type 2, but I am struggling to locate this model.
    1. Paul replied on
Don't know if this helps but the one I just purchased from Toolstop is the DE7023 x-j type 2 and has a black lever type handle on each arm, which easily allows the arms to extend with a simple palm push.
